What You'll Be Doing:
* Collaborate with the Marketing team to design, develop, and maintain our main website.
* Lead development of interactive microsites for major campaigns and events like Welcome Week, The Elections, SU Awards, and more.
* Improve digital platforms, monitor performance, identify enhancements, and introduce new functionalities to improve UX.
* Ensure website functionality and troubleshoot issues promptly.
* Maintain documentation, coding standards, and version control.
* Support Union teams with web-related requests and changes via the helpdesk.
* Stay updated on web trends and technologies, adopting best practices.
* Ensure compliance with accessibility standards and data privacy regulations.
* Propose strategic improvements for long-term user experience upgrades.
What You'll Bring:
* Experience or qualification in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field.
* Experience in web development and design, paid or voluntary.
* Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap.
* Experience with content management systems like WordPress or Drupal.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
* Adaptability working with diverse teams.
* Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks.
