Looking for a hands-on engineering role where your skills keep the city moving?
We’re on the lookout for a Bus Service Engineer/Technician to join our close-knit team at Stagecoach Cheltenham. You'll play a vital role in keeping our modern, low-emission fleet safe, reliable, and ready to serve the community.
Whether you’re servicing vehicles, diagnosing faults, or carrying out roadside repairs, this is a role where your expertise makes a visible difference every day.
What you’ll be doing:
4. Maintaining and servicing buses to Stagecoach and DVSA safety standards
5. Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults using modern diagnostic tools
6. Carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance, including roadside repairs
7. Reporting defects and completing all work safely and in line with policies
8. Collaborating with workshop colleagues and supporting junior team members
What we’re looking for:
9. A qualified engineer with City & Guilds Level 3 or NVQ Level 3 in PSV or HGV Maintenance (or equivalent)
10. Previous hands-on experience servicing and repairing commercial vehicles, ideally in a bus, coach, truck, or HGV environment although we are open to different backgrounds
11. Confident using diagnostic tools and service manuals
12. A proactive, safety-first approach
13. A team player with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
14. A full UK driving licence
