Due to the retirement of one of our GPs, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and forward-thinking GP to join Brookvale Practice as a Salaried GP from November 2026.
The role is for 46 sessions per week, worked over 3 days. This will include Thursday and Friday, with Thursday designated as the on-call day. The potential third working day will be confirmed depending on requirements.

Brookvale Practice serves a population of approximately 8,700 patients and is based in Runcorn, Cheshire with excellent motorway links to Manchester, Liverpool, and North Wales.
We operate a Total Triage model, supporting safe, efficient, and timely access to care for our patients.
The You will be joining a welcoming and innovative team that values high-quality, patient-centred care. We are a well-established training practice, rated Good by the CQC following our inspection in November 2023.
We use EMIS Web, offer 15-minute GP appointments, and have at least two clinicians working on call at any one time. We actively support GPs to develop clinical interests and extended roles and welcome applications from newly qualified GPs.

Main duties of the job
To work as an autonomouspractitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to thepractice population, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilstcomplying with the contract.
Furthermore, the postholder will adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice,contributing to the effective management of the practice, leading by example,maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship with themultidisciplinary team.

Job responsibilities
The following are the core responsibilities of the Salaried GP. There may be, on occasion, arequirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors suchas workload and staffing levels:
* a. The delivery of highly effective medicalcare to the entitled population
* b. The provision of services commensurate with the primary care contract
* c. Genericprescribing adhering to local and national guidance
* d. Effectivemanagement of long-term conditions
* e. Processingof administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescriptionrequests and other associated administrative tasks
* f. Ona rotational basis, undertake telephone triage and duty doctor roles
* g. Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy andguidance
* h. Work collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload
* i. Adhere to best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process
* j. Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and qualityinitiatives within the practice
* k. Accept delegated responsibility for a specific area (or areas) or the QOF
* l. Attend and contribute effectively to practice meetings as required
* m. Contribute effective to the development and maintenance of the practice including clinicalgovernance and training
* n. Ensure compliance with the appraisal process
* o. Prepare and complete the revalidation process
* p. Commit to self-learning and instil an ethos of continuing professional developmentacross the practice team
* q. Support the training of medical students from all clinical disciplines
* r. Support the partners in achieving the strategic aims of the practice, makingrecommendations to enhance income and reduce expenditure

Person Specification
Experience
* Experience of working in a primary care environment
* Experience of continued professional development
* Experience of QOF and clinical audit
* General understanding of the primary care contract
* Minimum of two years as a salaried GP
* Experience of medicines management
* Experience of ICB initiatives
Qualifications
* Qualified GP
* MRCGP
* Vocational Training Certificate or equivalent JCPTGP
* General Practitioner (Certificate of Completion of Training CCT)
