Social Worker – Children’s Residential Home Location: Stoke On Trent (ST1) Salary: £32,000 (Newly Qualified) – £51,000 (Experienced / Management) Hours: Full-Time | Permanent Service Type: Children’s Residential Home Optima Plus Recruitment is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Social Worker to join a close-knit team in Stoke On Trent. You’ll work closely with children and young people, residential staff, families, and partner agencies to provide the highest quality care and support. Key Responsibilities: * Build trusting relationships with children and young people, promoting emotional wellbeing and independence. * Complete comprehensive assessments and care plans tailored to individual needs. * Work collaboratively with residential staff, families, and partner agencies to ensure positive outcomes. * Safeguard and advocate for children in line with legislation and best practice. * Maintain accurate, detailed case notes and reports. * Contribute to care reviews, planning meetings, and multi-disciplinary discussions. Requirements: * Qualified Social Worker (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent). * Registered with Social Work England. * Experience working with children in care, residential, or safeguarding settings. * Excellent interpersonal, communication, and report-writing skills. * Genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people. * Full UK driving licence preferred but not essential.
