Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated and experienced Speciality doctor to join our dynamic and friendly team at Bodmin Community Hospital, Bodmin, Cornwall.
This role offers support from a Consultant Psychiatrist and opportunities for skill enhancement and career development through pathways to specialist registration or as a multi-professional approved clinician.
Key responsibilities include weekly case reviews with the Home Treatment Team, liaising with Community Mental Health Team Consultants to ensure continuity of care, and contributing to service improvement by reviewing performance data.
The post involves assessing new referrals, reviewing patient cases, gathering history, examining mental states, and prioritizing physical health issues, including conducting physical examinations and liaising with primary care and other health agencies.
The post holder will participate in weekly multidisciplinary team meetings, maintaining medical notes and contributing clinically.
There are opportunities to prepare tribunal reports and other medical reports and to attend related hearings as experience allows.
While there are no designated outpatient clinics, developing clinics for community patient reviews may be considered. Home visits are expected to be a significant part of clinical activity. The post does not carry a personal caseload.
