We are launching our Emergency Gas Responder Apprenticeship programme across Scotland and are seeking diverse candidates to join this 3-year programme. During your apprenticeship, we will equip you with the skills, knowledge, and behaviours necessary to work safely as part of our operations teams, delivering gas to 5.9 million homes and businesses in the south of England and across Scotland.
We focus on your values, skills, and cognitive abilities rather than just your CV. We are looking for Gas Engineer Assistants to support our engineers in repairing, replacing, and laying new gas mains and services.

The role;
You will support qualified gas engineers in:
* Installing gas meters and regulators
* Responding to gas emergencies
* Installing & maintaining gas networks
* Promoting health and safety in gas activities
This programme will lead to Gas Safe Registration in categories such as CESP 1, MET 1/2, MET4, TPCP1A, REGT1, and REGT2.
Throughout the apprenticeship, you will attend college on a 'block' release basis, supported by our engineers and managers. You will also attend training centres, which may require travel and accommodation arrangements.
What you will need;
* At least 3 GCSEs at grades A-C including Maths & English
* An interest in developing a career within the gas network industry
* A commitment to 3 years of training and education
* A can-do attitude and passion for a successful career
Preferably, you should be able to drive or pass your driving test within 6-12 months of joining.
