<div><h3>Overview</h3><p>We’re recruiting two Communications and Marketing Lead Volunteers to support a small national charity during a critical phase. The role focuses on leading volunteers, developing a communications strategy, and ensuring consistent engagement with our community and supporters.</p><p>Position is remote.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Lead a team of communications and marketing volunteers.</li><li>Lead and co-ordinate internal projects, activities and campaigns that promote awareness of the organisation.</li><li>Run the monthly Communications & Marketing Team meetings.</li><li>Build, lead, and inspire the team, ensuring goals are agreed and communicated.</li><li>Coordinate and plan with other lead volunteers (Content, Social Media, Email Marketing).</li><li>Act as the point of contact for the Communications & Marketing Team, including lead volunteers.</li><li>Contribute to the Annual Report or other reporting documents.</li><li>Support development and implementation of the Communications Strategy.</li><li>Protect the charity brand identity, ensuring consistent delivery internally and externally.</li><li>Promote the charity across all channels and communication platforms.</li><li>Ensure effective, regular communication to internal and external audiences.</li><li>Review progress and effectiveness of the Communications Strategy annually.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications & Experience</h3><ul><li>Enthusiasm for excellence, innovation, continuous improvement and change.</li><li>Positive, hands‑on team leader capable of getting the best out of a team.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills and adept at building relationships with diverse stakeholders.</li><li>Strategic thinker who also enjoys operational support of team and stakeholders.</li><li>High level of attention to detail, prioritisation, planning and project management.</li><li>Strong communication skills (verbal and non‑verbal) for diverse audiences.</li><li>Experience in building and leading a communications team.</li><li>Experience or familiarity with charities, volunteer organisations is desirable.</li><li>Creative message management and medium selection.</li><li>Good IT skills.</li><li>Motivational skills to inspire volunteers.</li><li>Experience in marketing, communications, or related fields.</li><li>Leadership skills to motivate and inspire volunteers.</li><li>Experience using Canva or similar design packages.</li><li>Strong network of PR and media contacts is highly advantageous.</li></ul><h3>Benefits & Development</h3><ul><li>Real‑world experience in social media management.</li><li>Collaborative environment with a passionate team.</li><li>Development of social media marketing, content creation, and community engagement skills.</li><li>Portfolio content for future job applications.</li><li>Opportunity to contribute to a meaningful cause.</li></ul></div>
