Early Careers Pre-Sales Associate
, every hire will play a critical role in helping customers modernise, grow, and succeed with IFS.
What the roles involve
Depending on skills and strengths, candidates will be matched into one of two entry-level career tracks during the assessment process:
Digital Sales Executive (DSE)
– engaging existing IFS customers, creating urgency to upgrade from legacy systems, protecting renewals, and driving expansion conversations with senior stakeholders.
Pre-Sales Associate (PRS)
– working at the front end of the sales cycle, uncovering customer pains, designing solution architectures, contributing to tenders, and supporting product demonstrations alongside senior Pre-Sales consultants.
Common responsibilities across the cohort include:
* Engaging with customers from day one, whether in discovery, value mapping, or upgrade conversations.
* Learning how to build compelling value stories that address real business challenges.
* Presenting confidently and writing clearly in customer-facing scenarios.
* Collaborating with colleagues across Sales, Pre-Sales, and Product.
* Developing commercial acumen and structured thinking.
* Building stakeholder relationships across IT, Finance, Procurement, and business leadership.
Candidate profile
IFS is not hiring for perfect CVs. Instead, they are looking for potential, behaviours, and mindset. The right candidates will demonstrate:
* Curiosity about technology, enterprise software, and AI, with practical examples of use.
* Hunger, resilience, and confidence when engaging senior stakeholders.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* The ability to simplify complex topics and tell clear, persuasive stories.
* Coachability, growth orientation, and willingness to stretch beyond comfort zones.
* Collaborative, motivated, and team-oriented attitudes.
* Languages: proficiency in French, German, or Nordic languages (Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Finnish) is highly valued. Spanish or other European languages are also an advantage. Exceptional English-only candidates will be considered.
