What you would do as our Service Engineer
We are looking for skilled Service Engineers to install, commission, maintain, and support Traka’s electronic and software‑enabled systems across the UK. This is a customer‑facing, field‑based role requiring technical expertise, professionalism, and a commitment to delivering outstanding service. The role level will be aligned to experience, capability, and responsibility.
* Installing, commissioning, testing, maintaining, and repairing Traka systems at customer sites while delivering both planned maintenance and reactive fault resolution.
* Configuring and supporting system hardware, networking, and connectivity to ensure reliable system performance.
* Maintaining accurate electronic documentation and service reports detailing all work completed and system status.
* Representing Traka professionally on customer sites while adhering to safety, security, and quality standards.
* Travelling extensively across the UK, including undertaking occasional overnight stays to support customer requirements.
The skills and experience you need
* Self‑motivated, reliable, and committed to delivering work to a high standard, while enjoying hands‑on technical work, problem solving, and direct interaction with customers in varied environments.
* Experience with electronic or electro‑mechanical systems and applying strong diagnostic and fault‑finding capabilities in day‑to‑day technical activities.
* Knowledge of networking, cabling, and IT systems, ensuring effective configuration, troubleshooting, and support.
* Ability to communicate clearly and provide excellent customer service, build trust and always represent the business professionally.
* Holds a full UK driving licence and is available to travel nationwide as required, while meeting the security vetting standards needed for high‑security and government sites.
