Housing Liaison Officer – Through Care Service
We are looking for a Housing Liaison Officer to join our Through Care service within Children’s Services. This role is key to supporting care leavers in securing permanent housing and making a successful transition to independent living. You will work closely with personal advisors, housing teams, and external providers to ensure accommodation options are identified and accessed in line with care plans. The role involves advising and empowering young people, contributing to housing policy development, and collaborating across services to prevent homelessness.
All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK. We do not offer sponsorship. The appointment is subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
About the Service
The Through Care Service is made up of social workers, personal advisers, children and families workers and a housing liaison officer. The team provides social work and personal advice to children in care and care leavers aged 12 to 25.
