Job Scope
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Legal and Compliance Officer to provide legal and compliance support to the Gas & Related Services Line of Business.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
* Oversee delivery of legal and compliance services and resources to accomplishcorporate goals, strategies, and priorities
* Provide legal support and advice to senior management and all internalstakeholders on legal and compliance matters
* Draft, review and negotiate with external counterparts on a variety of commercialagreements
* Review and provide recommendations on the legal aspects and considerations forresolving issues that arise in existing commercial relationships, and handling pre‑litigation legal disputes and inquiries
* Manage and maintain company policies, procedures and standards related to legaland compliance matters
* Monitor changes to regulatory requirements and proactively handle regulatorydevelopments and compliance updates
* Provide time‑sensitive support on a wide array of legal and compliance inquiries in all operational aspects
* Identify and consult on legal and compliance risks in connection with the company’sbusinesses
* Lead or support special and/or time‑sensitive projects and tasks as may be requiredfrom time to time
Qualifications & Experience Required
* Possess a Law degree from a reputable university with at least 8 to 12 years’ postqualification legal experience
* Admitted to the Singapore Bar
* High degree of independence, initiative, and decisiveness
* Articulate, good drafting skills and highly effective in English
* Strong analytical skills and an ability to demonstrate sound legal and business judgment, even in ambiguous situations · Be an effective time manager with the ability to work in a team

* Able to work independently, adaptable, solutions‑oriented and enjoy working in a team
* Having a positive attitude with a willingness to learn
* Having the ability to maintain high service standards and problem solve effectively when faced with challenges
* Self‑motivated and thrives in a fast‑paced, dynamic, and high‑pressure environment, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Comfortable working on cross‑functional projects involving engineering, finance, and regulatory considerations.
* Having hands‑on experience in the following types of matters would be advantageous:
* Dealing with gas (LNG and/or PNG), electricity generation and retail, and other utilities contracts;
* EPC and O&M contracts, specifically in the utilities sector;
* Project development and/or project finance transactions in the energy, utilities or infrastructure sectors; and Carbon trading, sustainability and corporate commercial contracts.
* Able to manage multiple projects and competing priorities and complete them timely and effectively, with minimal external legal support.
