Your Responsibilities
1. Maintain the hangar, workshops, and all working areas in a clean, tidy, and organized manner.
2. Ensure all maintenance and workshop requests are completed on time and to approved standards, efficiently, with minimal downtime to maximize aircraft availability.
3. Maintain good relationships and communication with all VAM managers and employees.
4. Plan daily work, monitor technical progress, and optimize capacity and man-hours utilization.
5. Provide daily and other regular technical and production data.
6. Direct, instruct, motivate, control, and support all team members.
7. Keep staff current through necessary training and examinations in accordance with the company’s interests and obligations.
8. Ensure availability of human and material resources required by the company’s commercial and legal requests.
9. Coordinate with other departments within VAM and external partners for smooth operations.
10. Initiate training requests, procurements, investments, procedures, and company structure changes.
11. Oversee maintenance and other company projects, both directly and indirectly.
12. Act as Deputy of the Director of Maintenance (DoM) when needed.
13. Participate in audits, rectifications, and investigations.
14. Perform other reasonable requests from management aligned with the Base Maintenance Manager role.
Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
1. Minimum 7 years of experience in commercial or business aviation aircraft maintenance.
2. Minimum 3 years of management experience in the same industry.
3. ATA 104 Level I certification on at least one commercial or business aircraft type.
4. Knowledge of EASA Regulations.
5. UK residency, or willingness to relocate to the UK.
6. Clean criminal record.
7. EASA B1 License on at least one commercial or business aircraft type.
