Job Title: Parts Kitter
Location: Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire ( Barton Under Needwood)
Duration: 3+ months'
Hours: Monday to Thursday - 07:00 to 16.00,Fri 07:00 to 13:00
Own transport is advised due to location
Our Engineering client based in Barton Under Needwood are recruiting for a Parts Kitter ( ideally with a mechanical background)
The role of the Parts Kitter gathers and prepares mechanical components and materials based on work orders or kits for assembly or manufacturing processes. This ensures that all necessary parts are ready and available for technicians or assemblers to use.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
* Read and interpret work orders, bills of materials (BOMs), and pick lists.
* Pull parts from inventory according to specifications.
* Verify part numbers, quantities, and quality.
* Label and package components into kits.
* Track inventory usage and report shortages.
* Maintain a clean and organised work area.
* Communicate with warehouse, inventory, or assembly teams as needed.
* Perform cycle counts or assist with inventory audits.
Skills:
* Basic math and reading skills.
* Attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to use handheld scanners or inventory software.
* Ability to lift and carry materials (often 25-50 lbs). xsngvjr
