At Hilti GB, we have a new position based at our Manchester HQ for a Bid and Commercial Manager (internally known as a Bid and Proposal Manager). Your role will involve delivering high-quality bids and proposals for large private and public sector projects, supporting our expansion plans in Great Britain and beyond.

What does the role involve?
1. Commercial Risk Management: Identifying, analyzing, and mitigating commercial risks; deriving pricing that reflects full solution value; collaborating across functions to assess pricing and risks.
2. Bid and Proposal Management: Reviewing tender documents, understanding customer requirements, developing winning proposal strategies, influencing, and leading cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
3. Overall Contract Management: Leading the end-to-end process from drafting contracts, negotiating terms, reviewing conditions, signing contracts, to handover and managing issues during contract execution.
4. Commercial Support: Providing strategic commercial advice during project acquisition, influencing customer decisions, and leading internal discussions to position Hilti effectively for large projects.
What you need is:
Essential:
* Proven experience in a large-scale bid, proposal, or contract management role, managing bids and associated risks across major accounts and projects.
* Deep knowledge of contractual terms, conditions, and customer-facing experience in structuring and negotiating contracts.
* Strong financial and commercial acumen, with risk management skills and understanding of business processes.
* Ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams with a team-oriented approach.
Desirable:
* Bachelor’s or higher degree in Business, Finance, Legal, Engineering, or related fields.
* Experience in a multinational environment and willingness to travel across Europe.
* Experience in energy or construction project management.
* Experience in highly regulated industries such as Power, Nuclear, Engineering, or EFW.
* Proficiency in additional European languages besides English.
