Their Family Law team is highly respected and continues to expand due to sustained growth and an excellent reputation. They are now seeking an experienced Child Care Solicitor to join their supportive and collaborative practice.
About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced solicitor or legal executive to manage a varied caseload of public law children matters. You’ll work closely with parents, guardians, and local authorities, providing outstanding client care and advocacy throughout.
You’ll play a key role in supporting vulnerable families while working within a culture that values professionalism, wellbeing, and work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a diverse caseload of public law child care matters, including care proceedings and supervision orders.
* Represent parents, children, and guardians in court proceedings.
* Undertake advocacy and liaise with counsel as needed.
* Provide clear, empathetic, and practical legal advice.
* Maintain accurate and compliant case management records.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an exceptional client experience.
* Contribute to departmental development and professional networking activities.
About You
We’re looking for a compassionate and motivated legal professional who takes pride in delivering exceptional client care and achieving the best outcomes for children and families.
Essential:
* Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEx) with experience in public law child care proceedings.
* Children Panel Accreditation (or working towards it).
* Strong knowledge of the Children Act and related legislation.
* Excellent advocacy, communication, and client care skills.
* A proactive and collaborative approach.
Desirable:
* Experience mentoring or supervising junior team members.
* Familiarity with legal aid processes and CCMS systems.
