Sports Coach & Teaching Assistant - SEMH School Location: Crewe Contract: Temporary to Permanent Simply Education are working on behalf of an outstanding SEMH school to recruit a passionate Sports Coach who wants to make the move into education and support pupils both inside and outside the classroom. This is an exciting opportunity for a Sports Coach who is ready to use their expertise to inspire children and young people, helping them develop physically, emotionally, and academically. You will work with pupils who have experienced trauma, supporting them in classroom learning as well as through engaging physical activities and sports sessions. What Youll Do: Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups to access lessons and develop key academic skills Support sports activity sessions outside of the classroom as a Sports Coach to build confidence, teamwork, and resilience Help pupils manage emotions and behaviour in both classroom and physical activity settings Build trusting relationships and create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment Work alongside teachers and pastoral staff to implement individual support plans Who Were Looking For: Experience as a Sports Coach and a desire to move into an educational setting Calm, patient, and resilient approach with excellent communication skills A passion for helping children and young people develop personally, academically, and physically Understanding of trauma-informed approaches is desirable but not essential Whats on Offer: Temporary to permanent position with long-term career opportunities A supportive and experienced team committed to making a difference Ongoing training in SEMH, trauma-informed practice, and education skills The chance to make a real impact on pupils learning, wellbeing, and physical development If you are interested in working in this school setting, please click apply by submitting your CV.
