RMS are excited to be recruiting for a reliable and detail-oriented Production Operative to support operations with our client based in Redcar.
1. This is an on-going temporary position (Minimum of 4 weeks). Monday to Friday shift, 7am-3pm.
About the Role:
Within this role you will be achieving daily production targets by ensuring that production machinery, equipment and processes are operated in a safe and efficient manner, and in line with the Company Operating Procedures, and Health & Safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
2. Undertake tasks in line with standard procedures to produce products (includes start of shift checks, operating machinery, using work benches, loading and unloading parts and materials).
3. Ensure that Health & Safety policies and procedures are followed at all times.
4. Carry out assembly work
5. Be actively involved with Quality Inspection (defined quality checks).
6. Packing and labelling produced parts as per the defined specifications.
7. Complete various types of paperwork/documentation in line with each process (e.g. Confirming the good parts, rejected parts and parts that require reworking, the machining time and downtime and the reasons for any deviations).
8. Identifying and reporting any machine downtime.
9. Escalating technical problems in line with the defined escalation matrix
10. Undertake 5S housekeeping duties to ensure that standards are in line with the EKOS guidelines.
11. Assist with any other duties with the area, as and when required (e.g. cleaning plans)
12. Be able to input data onto digital downtime spreadsheets (Excel)
About you:
13. Previous experience working in a similar production environment.
14. Be able to work on own initative or part of a team
15. Ability to use PC, with knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
