Electronics Design Engineer Defence Systems
Our client, a long-standing partner to the UK Ministry of Defence, is seeking an experienced Electronics Design Engineer to join a high-performing team developing advanced defence technologies.
Based in Stevenage, this role offers the opportunity to work on complex missile systems, contributing to the full lifecycle of electronic design within a highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop electronic solutions for weapon systems, including onboard missile sub-systems and land, sea, and air-based firing units
Deliver electronic designs from concept through to production, with a strong focus on Power and Analog Electronics at sub-system and board level
Ensure product quality, performance, and compliance throughout the development lifecycle
Provide accurate cost and schedule updates to support effective project tracking
Collaborate with Software, Firmware, Mechanical, Environmental, and EMC teams to meet technical and regulatory requirements
Contribute to the delivery of high-performance missile solutions aligned with operational and customer needs
What Youll Need
Degree in Electronic Engineering (or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience
Proven experience delivering complex electronic designs within regulated or safety-critical environments
Ability to lead and influence technical workstreams within multi-disciplinary teams
Strong problem-solving capability and broad knowledge of electronic technologies
Clear, effective communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
