Department Overview
Loughborough College Group’s Elite Sport department is a highly successful department with over 2,000 learners, offering a wide range of provision up to L4 qualifications and working nationally with a broad range of funded programmes including study programmes, apprenticeships, international, adult programmes and the Diploma in Sporting Excellence.
Role Summary
We are seeking to appoint an Elite Sport Esports Lecturer to provide high quality teaching and learning to elite sport learners, both through face‑to‑face and online delivery. Learner progress will be monitored to ensure target grades are met and all learners achieve to the best of their ability.
Responsibilities
* Provide high quality teaching and learning to elite sport learners, both face‑to‑face and online.
* Monitor learner progress to ensure target grades are met and all learners achieve to the best of their ability.
Qualifications
* A relevant degree and teaching qualification.
* Experience in the Esports industry.
* Teaching and vocational experience in further education or working in similar roles within industry.
* Experience of elite sport, preferably in the motorsport industry, and working in talent pathway/high‑performance environments.
Additional Requirements
Full, valid drivers licence and ability to travel to off‑site locations for work.
Skills
Strong interpersonal and organisational skills; excellent planning and administration skills; ability to work to deadlines; knowledge of a range of teaching methodologies including online delivery.
