Why apply for this role?Join one of Northern Irelands leading commercial property consultanciesOpportunity to develop a busy accounts functionBroad and varied role covering finance, payroll and property accountingExposure to client accounting, service charges and RICS complianceWork closely with senior leadership in a progressive and growing business"Im working with a well-established commercial property firm who are seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to oversee their finance operations and support the continued growth of the business."About the JobThis is a senior position within the organisation, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of the accounts department while ensuring the efficient delivery of financial, payroll and property accounting services.The successful candidate will manage a wide range of responsibilities, including client accounting, service charge administration, payroll, VAT compliance and financial reporting. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, clients, tenants and the wider accounts team to ensure high standards of accuracy, compliance and customer service.Key Responsibilities Finance & Accounts ManagementPrepare company accounts and support senior management with financial reporting.Conduct ongoing cash flow monitoring and audits.Undertake historic account reviews and investigations as required.Use Sage to manage office account fees and payments.Payroll & PensionsManage payroll processes and pension administration..Ensure payroll and pension processes comply with relevant legislation and internal procedures.Property & Client AccountingRaise tenant charges and apply ad hoc charges to tenant accounts.Upload and maintain client, property, tenant and lease information within the property management system.Draft and charge management fees.Manage tenant deposits and maintain accurate records.Issue client statements and respond to client and accountant queries.Prepare and collect ongoing management fees.Service Charges & CompliancePrepare service charge budgets and reconcile service charge accounts at year end.Issue service charge reconciliations for each property.Complete bank reconciliations for client and office accounts.Ensure compliance with RICS regulations and audit requirements.Prepare VAT returns and liaise with HMRC as required.Organise annual company insurance renewals.Payments & Credit ControlReview and process weekly contractor payments and landlord payments.Carry out credit control activities and follow up on outstanding balances.Support effective cash collection and debtor management processes.Previous ExperiencePrevious experience in a senior accounts role, ideally within property, professional services or a client accounting environment.Experience in Payroll and Finance.Experience preparing VAT returns, company accounts and financial reconciliations.Part-qualified, or actively studying towards a relevant accounting qualification (ATI or CIMA).Skills & AttributesStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.Ability to work independently and as part of a busy team.High level of accuracy and attention to detail.Proficient in Sage and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.Commercially aware with a proactive approach to problem-solving.For further information on this opportunity or if you are considering the next step in your career, get in touch with Ollie Mairs at HireIQ in complete confidence.Skills:Accounting Payroll Vat Returns AuditWHJS1_NI
