About the Role As a Senior Funeral Director, you will oversee and guide a team of Funeral Directors, ensuring all funerals are arranged and conducted with dignity, respect, and efficiency. This hands-on role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a passion for upholding the values and traditions of our company. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development Supervise and support all Funeral Directors in their day-to-day duties. Mentor and train new and developing team members. Conduct regular performance reviews and benchmarking meetings. Lead bi-monthly Funeral Directors’ meetings to promote communication and consistency. Act as a key liaison between Senior Management and the Funeral Director team. Work closely with the HR Manager to develop and implement procedures and best practices. Client Services & Funeral Management Arrange and conduct funerals with care, professionalism, and attention to detail. Provide clear, compassionate guidance to clients, families, and representatives. Handle Making Arrangement meetings and manage out-of-hours calls and removals. Liaise with external parties including hospitals, doctors, clergy, crematoriums, cemeteries, and legal representatives.
