Engineering Change Management Lead – Data Centres
About the Role
We are seeking an Engineering Change Management Lead to support large-scale data centre construction programs across a global portfolio.
This role is focused on governance, process leadership, and cross-functional alignment — not drafting changes or owning cost.
You will work across engineering, design, construction, and project teams to guide how changes are defined, structured, and communicated, ensuring they are clear, consistent, and executable across all stakeholders.
Given the scale of the program, this role requires the ability to manage high volumes of complex changes across multiple sites, teams, and disciplines, while maintaining clarity and consistency.
Location: United Kingdom (open to candidates across the UK, Ireland, and Europe with strong English communication skills)
What You’ll Do
* Lead the engineering change management process and governance framework across a multi-site data centre program
* Guide team members and change authors in defining and structuring changes effectively
* Translate complex engineering and construction changes into clear, simplified scopes of work for delivery teams
* Partner with engineering, design, construction, finance, estimating, and capital planning teams to align on change intent
* Support cost and commercial teams in developing ROMs by ensuring scope clarity (no cost ownership)
* Identify gaps in communication, scope definition, and process execution, and drive improvements
* Maintain structured change logs, documentation, and governance standards
* Ensure consistency in how changes are understood and implemented across the program
* Operate at a program level, managing change across a large-scale project portfolio
What We’re Looking For
* Experience in data centre, mission-critical, or large-scale construction programs
* Background in engineering, architecture, construction management, or project management
* Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management preferred
* Strong ability to understand technical scope and guide teams in clearly defining changes
* Experience working across design, construction, and project delivery teams
* Proven ability to operate within complex, multi-site or program-level environments
* Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts
* Highly organized with a focus on process, governance, and consistency
Preferred (Not Required)
* Certifications such as PMP, PE, or equivalent UK/EU credentials
* Experience supporting change management, design changes, or variations in construction environments
* Exposure to multi-site or program-level delivery models
