Business Support Officer - Urgent Emergency Care
We are recruiting for a Business Support Officer to join the Urgent and Emergency Care department. The role supports the UEC leadership team in administrative, managerial and reporting duties.
Job responsibilities
High level of administrative duties, managing workload and making decisions within administrative policies.
Manage and support UEC Coordinators, Clerical and Administrative staff and UEC drivers – job planning, shift allocations, appraisals, one‑on‑ones, leave processing, return to work meetings, bank shifts and disciplinary actions.
Act as primary point of contact for the UEC leadership team; respond to queries, manage correspondence, draft responses.
Produce reports, presentations, letters and other correspondence for the Deputy Director of Operations and UEC senior leadership.
Provide full support for senior meetings – produce/distribute papers, chase actions, take minutes, record meetings.
Person Specification
Experience
* Educated to GCSE Standard or equivalent including English
* Training and relevant experience equivalent to Higher National Certificates/Diploma, Foundation Degree
* Comprehensive IT skills, high-level competence in Outlook, Word and PowerPoint
* Previous experience as a PA or senior secretary with advanced administrative & secretarial skills
* Previous experience of working in a complex organisation
* Experience in minute taking/formal note taking
