We recognise that a highly skilled community nursing workforce is the cornerstone to safe patient care and avoiding unnecessary admission to hospital and have lots training and development opportunities available, alongside a career development pathway with opportunities for development at every level through to band 3 to band 8. All community nurses work as part of a local team, closely with the local acute hospital, social care, mental health teams, GPs, and Practice Nurses and use the electronic clinical record, EMIS with a work Ipad and Iphone provided.
