We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Building Services team based in London.
Working as an Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for day-to-day servicing of the Electrical Infrastructure and the ability to carry out breakdown maintenance on mechanical/electrical systems and equipment.
What you’ll do:
1. Conduct PPM and planned maintenance, response, and fault analysis within service level agreements.
2. Carry out fault finding and plant adjustments, check and inspect electrical services, plant, and systems, and complete maintenance tasks in accordance with contract specification.
3. To be aware of Safe Systems of Work and its application, performed under the terms of the contract.
4. To assist with carrying out sub-contractor inductions and putting people safely to work.
5. When required, conduct reactive and Extra Work requirements in adherence to set engineering standards in accordance with HASAWA legislation and Our Way of Working.
6. Implement & comply with the procedures as detailed in the company’s Health & Safety Policies, Statutory obligations and in accordance with the Skanska IFE (Injury Free Environment).
What you'll bring to the role:
7. Mechanical City & Guilds NVQ Level 2 / Level 3 or equivalent, BMS experience.
8. Demonstrate understanding of statutory compliance HVAC and Water Treatment.
9. Health & Safety IOSH Working Safely qualification or similar.
10. Ability to demonstrate experience in a customer facing role.
11. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
12. Demonstratable time management skills.
13. Excellent communications skills with good verbal and written communications.
14. Ability to demonstrate logical evidence-based problem solving.
15. Understanding relevant legislation and compliance associated with your key results areas.
