By joining the Research and Development Team at LeedsCommunity Healthcare NHS Trust you will facilitate the delivery of researchgovernance and research projects across the organisation. This will enablethose living in and around Leeds to participate in innovative research studies.
Main duties of the job
Weseek an enthusiastic person willing to develop and expand their skills inresearch governance. The post holder will be responsible for supporting theresearch coordinator in assessing studies undertaken across the local communityand follow study protocols. They will prioritise and manage their own workloadindependently but will react to and implement change as directed by the linemanagers.
We are a small friendly team, in your role you will support allaspects of research governance including capability and capacity assessment,study set up, as well as supporting clinicians with the research delivery andimplementation of research output. You will be responsible for ensuring alldata is stored securing in accordance with Good Clinical Practice guidelines(GCP) and will use effective communication and record keeping skills to updatethe stakeholders.We would support the post holder in gaining research training and GCP certificate if required.

Job responsibilities
Weare recruiting 1 part-time fixed term role until the end of March 2026 where wehope this becomes permanent. We are happy to discuss flexible workingarrangements to meet the needs of the research team and the post holder.

Job Purpose
The postholderwill be responsible for ensuring the delivery of an effective administrationsupport service for the research governance within Leeds Community Healthcare. They will prioritise and manage their ownworkload independently but will react to and implement change as directed bythe line manager.
Key Responsibilities
1.Administration
1.1 Tobe responsible for the day-to-day delivery of project support, includingassisting in the development of project plans, working with stakeholders onimplementation and evaluation.
1.2 Support the development and implementation ofthe project through timely and relevant information analysis and administrativesupport, in accordance with the agreed priorities of the Team.
1.3 Ensure effectivecommunication is maintained across the project team and end users whilst actingas the first point of contact for enquiries in relation to the project. Adapt communication style as appropriate forthe situation and support and influence managers and staff to deliver theprojects aims.
1.4 Use a range of IT applications to develop, implementand maintain project data collection systems/databases that will provideaccurate and timely data for its effective use by the team. Produce statistics, documents, and reports,as and when required.
1.5 Organise and attend meetings or events andassist in the diary management requirements of individuals in connection with theproject. Taking and recording minutes where necessary.
1.6 Propose changes to own project, service,initiative work, informing policy and making recommendations for more effectivedelivery.
1.7 Responsiblefor monitoring stock within agreed project area by authorising orders up todesignated limit. Using the e proc system ensure all orders are codedcorrectly and forwarded to relevant approving manager. Be an authorised signatoryin relation to the project.
1.8 To be responsible forensuring all specified tasks within an agreed area are completed within theagreed timeframe.
1.9 Todevelop and deliver training to end users on specific elements of the project.
1.10 To deputise as required forline manager including the attendance at meetings, where necessary.
1.11 Tocarry out specified service audits appropriate to the project as directed bythe project team.
2.1 Ensure that a professional service andimage is maintained at all times, thereby acting as a role model to all staff.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* English & Maths to GCSE grade 9 to 4 or equivalent qualification / experience
* NVQ level 4 in Business Administration or Customer Service or willing to work towards or equivalent experience.
* Educated to Diploma level or equivalent experience.
* Level 2 IT skills i.e. OCR (formerly RSA) or equivalent experience.
* Must be willing to participate in any relevant training identified to develop skills required to
* Leadership qualification (ILM or manager as coach)
* or equivalent
* Research qualifications e.g. Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
Experience
* Experience of working in an administrative post supporting projects.
* Experience of supporting planning, delivery, review, and reporting of projects.
* Experience of working within Research.
* Understanding of information governance (GDPR)
* Understanding of the NHS Confidentiality Code of Conduct.
* Previous experience of working within NHS
* Previous experience of working with higher education institutes
* Knowledge of research governance
