About Us: Ten Eighty Two is a beloved and thriving breakfast and brunch cafe in Glasgow, known for our exceptional coffee, warm atmosphere, great breakfast and dedicated service.
Due to our success, we are excited to be opening a second location and are looking for a passionate leader to build and grow our new team from the ground up.
The Role: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Coffee Shop Manager to take full operational control of our new site.
You will be responsible for launching this location, building a fantastic team, and creating a welcoming environment that mirrors the success of our original shop.

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & People Management:
· Recruit, train, mentor, and schedule a team of baristas and support staff.
· Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-energy team culture.
· Lead by example, providing exceptional customer service and resolving any issues promptly and professionally.
· Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Operations & Financial Management:
· Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency and the highest standards of quality, service, and cleanliness.
· Oversee inventory management, including ordering, stock control, and minimising waste.
· Manage the Point of Sale (POS) system, cash handling, and daily financial reporting.
· Control labour costs and other operational budgets to maximise profitability.
· Ensure full compliance with all health, safety, food hygiene, and licensing regulations.
Sales & Customer Experience:
· Drive sales and implement initiatives to increase average transaction value and customer loyalty.
· Maintain the quality and consistency of all coffee and food products.
· Build strong relationships with customers and the local community.
· Gather and act on customer feedback to continuously improve the experience.

Who You Are: (The Ideal Candidate) - MUST HAVE
· Proven specialty coffee experience is essential. You must have a genuine passion for and deep knowledge of coffee, including espresso extraction, milk texturing, and brew methods.
· Proven experience as a Manager or Assistant Manager in a high-volume coffee shop or café.
· A natural leader with excellent communication and people-management skills.
· Solid understanding of financial management, including COGS, labour budgeting, and P&L.
· Immaculate knowledge of health and safety standards and food hygiene regulations (Level 3 Food Safety certification is a strong advantage).
· A passion for outstanding customer service.
· Highly organised, proactive, and able to solve problems under pressure.
· Ambitious and excited by the challenge of opening and growing a new location.
