The home provides a high standard of care in a comfortable environment. We cater for the needs of people requiring nursing, residential care as well as for those living with Dementia. We promote resident and family involvement and feel privileged to be able offer a service to people in their time of need.
We are seeking a Weekend Receptionist for administrative support and front-line customer service, ensuring smooth daily operations while assisting residents, their families, colleagues, visitors, and suppliers with professionalism and care
The role as Receptionist will include, but not be limited to:
* Greet residents, families, staff, and visitors warmly, ensuring they feel comfortable and directing them to the appropriate areas.
* Answer incoming calls, take messages, and respond to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
* Manage emails and forward relevant information to the appropriate team members.
* Ensure the reception area is tidy, organised, and welcoming, creating a positive first impression for visitors.
* Assist with various admin duties such as filing, scheduling appointments, updating resident records, and managing mail.
* Coordinate and schedule meetings or appointments for residents, staff, and visitors, ensuring accurate communication and timely reminders.
* Ensure all visitors sign in to the home via the digital signing platform
* Manage deliveries and ensure packages are received, logged, and distributed appropriately.
* Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe environment for residents and staff.
* Address concerns or questions from residents or their families, escalating matters to senior staff when necessary.
Requirements:
* Prior experience in a receptionist, admin, or care environment preferred.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach.
* Use computer systems and office software confidently for admin tasks.
* Understand basic safeguarding and data protection principles.
* Experience using computer systems and office software confidently for admin tasks.
* Experienced in handling confidential information in line with GDPR and care home policies.
