Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Assistant General Manager based in Horfield Leisure Centre, Bristol.
The Assistant General Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the facility, ensuring the delivery of exceptional service to customers. Responsibilities include supervising staff, implementing operational strategies, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards, analyzing performance metrics, and working closely with the General Manager to drive business results. The individual will actively contribute to team development and support the growth of the facility’s offerings to meet community needs.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in team management, staff development, and fostering an inclusive and productive workplace culture.
* Strong operational knowledge in health and safety standards, compliance, and facility management.
* Excellent leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
* Exceptional communication, organisational and collaboration skills to effectively manage staff and engage with the community.
* Passion for health, fitness, and community engagement, and ability to inspire team members and customers alike.
* Experience within the leisure or customer service industry is desirable but not required.
* NPLQ and/COSHH desirable (Training can be given to the right candidate)
