Susan’s Farm is looking for an energetic and creative individual with experience of working with young people, a further or higher education qualification and who shares our vision of using purposeful outdoor activity to engage with young people, building their self-esteem and confidence.
About Susan’s Farm
Susan’s Farm is a small, registered charity whose activities focus on Educational Visits for school and community groups, working with those with long term mental health support needs and Alternative Provision for those young people who need a different learning environment.
Role
The Farm, based at Houghton outside Carlisle, is looking for an energetic creative person to work within a small staff team, leading on our alternative provision service and providing engaging and stimulating outdoor activities.
We work in small groups supporting students with behavioural needs, as well as autism and other conditions. Our team plan the provision around the farming calendar and have created a range of activities to engage students with farming, nature, and the outdoors. This is an opportunity to work with young people in various and innovative ways, building their self-esteem and confidence.
Qualifications
* Experience of working with young people
* Further or higher education qualification
