We have an exciting role on offer within our Specialist and Lifelong Service as a Social Worker.
The team supports people with a learning disability from the age of 18 years.
The work is varied, demanding and very rewarding.
You will manage a varied caseload who may be living at home with parents, in supported living, residential placements, mental health hospitals or other settings.
As a social worker you will work closely with colleagues within the Learning Disabilities Team as well as partners from Health, the voluntary and charitable sector and with children's services and education for those young people coming through transitions into adult social care.
We are looking for someone who is creative and can think outside the box when working to support people with a learning disability to achieve better outcomes.
The team is based in newly refurbished offices in Middlesbrough. You will receive regular supervision, access to training and development and the opportunity to make a difference.

We expect our experienced Social Workers to hold BIA (Grade K and L), Practice Educator or AMHP (Grade L) qualifications as outlined in our progression criteria. If you do not currently hold the relevant qualification, we welcome your application and will expect a commitment to undertaking the appropriate training upon commencing employment, with full support provided.
