Job Description
Western National Insurance requires the services of a competent individual to develop and maintain various BI models that will be utilized by the business for decision-making purposes. The ideal candidate will have relevant BI experience with ETL and SQL knowledge and financial services experience.
Responsibilities
* Responsible to transform large data sets from various business systems and consolidate it in meaningful BI models
* Specification for the layout will be provided but the developer should have the ability to make suggestions for improvements
* The company has a fast-paced environment, and the individual should be comfortable with changes made to specifications and requirements
* General model integrity checks
* Model reloads and distribution setup
* Monthly reporting to management
* General day-to-day ad hoc queries
Minimum Requirements
* Relevant degree, diploma in IT
* BI developer experience
* SQL experience
* Experience in either (QlikView, QlikSense, PowerBi, Python)
* Financial services experience
* Required Experience in ETL tools (SSIS, ODI, Data Stage, Informatic, etc)
* Understanding of Datawarehouse methodologies
* Experience in either (QlikView, QlikSense, PowerBi Python) – this entire line must move to Advantageous requirements
Advantageous Requirements
* Any Cloud exposure (Azure/AWS)
* Agile / SCRUM experience
* Talend
* Snowflake
* Development experience (C#, Python, Java, Angular)
