We are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly Female Recovery Motivator to join our Criminal Justice team. Working as part of a team, you will work with women who are directly impacted by their own substance misuse, as well as collaborating with key partners to empower communities. This 12-month fixed-term contract, funded by our partners in the Walsall National Probation Service, aims to support women in engaging with ATR and DRRs, while also improving their health and wellbeing.

Full Time Hours: 37.5 per week
Full Time Salary Range: £25,077.00 pro-rata for part-time hours
Contract Type: Fixed term until 30th June 2026
Responsibilities:
1. Assist women in the Criminal Justice system by setting up recovery plans with realistic goals to build their recovery capital.
2. Work closely with the Probation Recovery Coordinator, the National Probation Service, and Changing Lives to establish the enhanced DRR and ATR offer for women.
3. Provide a welcoming and consistent environment in the Women's Hub located in the Walsall Probation Service.
4. Create links with local communities and work to increase meaningful activities supporting women in their substance misuse treatment goals and probation orders.
5. Attend team meetings and supervision sessions to share good practice and find solutions.
6. Utilize existing local resources and develop community partnerships to offer activities that support women in building their recovery capital.
7. Demonstrate flexibility by assisting the service across various activities, including assertive outreach, harm reduction, and recovery.
A woman with lived experience or relevant experience of drug and/or alcohol misuse.
Good written and verbal communication skills, along with IT skills.
Willing to undertake all associated training.
Ability to build relationships with individuals with multiple needs, remaining empathetic and non-judgemental.
Confident working independently and as part of a team.
Ability to remain calm under pressure.
Able to travel as required.
