We are recruiting for Seasonal Team Members to join our friendly visitor experience team working in a unique heritage environment in Hartlepool. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking for a customer facing role to deliver a first-class visitor experience at our exceptional attraction. This is a particularly exciting time for the museum as we emerge from our busiest year since 2010, and look to build on this success across the summer of 2024. Successful candidates will be expected to work across the site in all areas, including retail and catering outlets and will take an active role in delivering talks, tours and demonstrations to visitors. We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with experience of working in catering roles. Reporting to the Visitor Experience Manager’s and Supervisor’s, these varied roles are pivotal in creating the NMRN’s vision to become the world’s most inspiring Naval Museum. Participating in the safe delivery of live weapon and rope making demonstrations and to deliver talks and tours to visitors. Selling tickets and merchandise in cafes and shops, helping the team to achieve income generation targets. Ensuring the safety and security for visitors, staff and property. Knowledge/Experience Experience of working in a customer focused environment with retail and sales knowledge is an advantage, but not essential, as full training will be given. Basic knowledge of Health and Safety and Security requirements and a willingness to learn more. The ability to communicate and engage with a wide and varied audience.
