Grade: Grade 3, SCP 5 - 6

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: 37 hours per week

Working Pattern: Term time plus two weeks

Actual Salary: £23,316 - £22,670

Interview Date: Week commencing 23 June 2025


As of September 2025, Brownhill Learning Community will defederate into two separate entities. A specialist SEMH Special School under new leadership of Narda Sestanovic and a Pupil Referral Service (PSR) under new leadership of Dave Shields. Both Schools have had new staffing structures, designed to create an environment that will enhance learner’s engagement, wellbeing, and learning. This is an exciting and ambitious new chapter for both schools.


The successful candidate will be working in the Special School from 01/09/2025.

The Special School will be located in Heywood, Rochdale and will cater for learner in KS2-KS4 with a commitment to delivering a nurturing, trauma informed, inclusive, and aspirational environment tailored to the individual needs of our learners.

We are seeking a highly organised, proactive, and friendly Administrator to join our dedicated team. This is a vital role at the heart of our school, supporting staff, students, and parents with a range of administrative tasks to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the school office.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy, varied environment and takes pride in providing excellent administrative support.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide a warm and professional front-of-house service for all visitors, parents, and pupils
* Manage school communications, including phone calls, emails, and post
* Maintain and update student records and school databases
* Support with attendance monitoring and reporting
* Assist with organising school events, trips, and meetings
* Work closely with teaching and leadership staff to ensure efficient school operations

* Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and School MIS systems (desirable)
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to multitask and work under pressure with accuracy and attention to detail
* A positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to be flexible
* An understanding of safeguarding and the importance of confidentiality
