A reputable civil engineering contractor is seeking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join its team. They specialise across the civils arena with a focus on water, waste water treatment and general utility infrastructure works, typically projects up to GBP 3M in value.
Position
This role will be commercially involved in a portfolio of planned maintenance projects across the Devon area, whilst managing a Trainee QS and an AQS. Reporting into the Commercial Manager, key responsibilities will include:
* Review new / varied items and check quotations of new rates and conditions
* Maintain the timely submission of applications and final accounts
* Assist with reviewing and commenting on tender documentation during tender period
* Internal reporting and forecasting
* Assist with subcontract management from negotiation and preparation of sub-contract orders
* Prepare and negotiate claims in conjunction with the senior management team
* Vetting of final accounts and preparing final account reports
The Individual
If you are a QS or perhaps even an Assistant Quantity Surveyor who is looking to join a great team and help grow the region, this will be for you.
Ideally, you will have:
* Civil Engineering Qualification (Degree or Equivalent)
* Experience in delivering similar sized contracts
* Experience in the water industry is preferred but not essential
* NEC4 experience
