Care Assistant - Nights Ruddington Manor Care Centre

Full-time, Permanent

Our stunning care home, Ruddington Manor Care Centre, is a purpose-built facility in Wilford, Nottingham. The home is registered to provide care to 66 residents with various needs, including residential and nursing care. Ruddington Manor is rated GOOD in all domains by CQC. We provide the highest standards of safety, comfort, and care to residents. Located conveniently, we have a very good local reputation. New Care has had zero agency usage for over 4 years, employing a permanent staff team to ensure continuity of care from staff who know and residents who trust them. All staff are paid the national living wage or above.

We are seeking to appoint kind, caring, and compassionate Care Assistants to join our team. You will deliver quality care to residents in line with agreed Care Plans and contribute to the efficient running of the Care Home. We have full-time contracts available at an hourly rate of £11.44. Shift times are 19:45-08:00, with alternate weekend working.


Role Responsibilities:

* To deliver “hands-on” care to residents in a person-centred way.
* Support residents to enjoy a good quality of life.
* Model best practice when delivering care.
* Assist residents in all aspects of their physical, emotional, and spiritual care needs in line with agreed care plans.
* Contribute to the daily records of residents.
* Contribute to effective teamwork and undertake delegated tasks efficiently and effectively.
* Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of adults in your care.


Skills and Experience Required:

* Experience at Care Assistant level in a care environment is preferable.
* Care certificate or equivalent, or willingness to achieve this within the first 12 months of employment.
* Good knowledge of care practices relating to older people.
* Understanding of the 6 principles of care and their application in residential/nursing settings.
* Ability to work well in a team.
* Self-motivation and confidence.
