Our stunning care home, Wilmslow Manor Care Centre, is a purpose-built care facility situated in the popular town of Wilmslow, Cheshire, 11 miles south of Manchester city centre. The home is registered to provide care to 66 residents with a variety of care needs, including residential, nursing, and dementia care. We prioritize safety, comfort, and high-quality care, investing in the latest technology and offering a purposeful program of daily activities and gentle exercises to enhance residents' wellbeing. All team members are carefully selected for their warmth and passion, undergo a full induction, and receive ongoing training from our in-house trainers in conjunction with the New Care Academy. We have maintained a staff team with no agency workers for over 5 years to ensure continuity of care and build trusting relationships with residents. All staff are paid at least the national minimum wage.

We are seeking to appoint kind, caring, and compassionate Care Assistants to join our team. You will deliver quality care to residents in line with agreed Care Plans and contribute to the efficient running of the Care Home. We offer a full-time contract with an hourly rate of £12.50. Shift times are 07:45-20:00, with alternate weekend working.

Role Responsibilities:

1. Deliver “hands-on” care to residents in a person-centred way.
2. Support residents to enjoy a good quality of life.
3. Model best practices when delivering care.
4. Assist residents with their physical, emotional, and spiritual care needs in line with care plans.
5. Contribute to daily records of residents.
6. Work effectively within a team and undertake delegated tasks efficiently.
7. Promote and safeguard the welfare of adults in your care.

Skills and Experience Required:

1. Experience at Care Assistant level in a care environment is preferable.
2. Care certificate or equivalent, or willingness to achieve this within the first 12 months.
3. Knowledge of good care practices related to the care of older people.
4. Understanding of the 6 principles of care and their application in residential/nursing settings.
5. Ability to work well in a team.
6. Self-motivation and confidence.
