The Role
Were looking for an experienced and people-focused Deputy Head of Scheduling to support the transformation and centralisation of our scheduling function across all Axis CLC contracts.
Working closely with the Head of Scheduling, youll help implement a standardised scheduling model, lead and support Scheduling Managers, and ensure our scheduling teams deliver excellence, consistency, and great customer service.
This is a key leadership role within a major business-wide change programme ideal for someone who thrives on improving processes, developing people, and driving performance.
Key Responsibilities
Support the centralisation and transformation of the scheduling function across all contracts.
Implement consistent planning, diary management and scheduling processes.
Coach and support Scheduling Managers across multiple contracts.
Lead the transition to a centralised scheduling model and embed new structures and ways of working.
Deliver structured onboarding, training and development for scheduling teams.
Act as a key change leader, engaging and guiding staff through transformation.
Support the Head of Scheduling in setting and reviewing KPIs and performance frameworks.
Analyse scheduling performance to identify improvements in utilisation, job completion and customer satisfaction.
Assist Scheduling Managers in embedding new targets and performance expectations.
Ensure scheduling activities support contractual KPIs.
Work closely with IT to help optimise scheduling systems (FLS, Dynamics or equivalent).
Provide reporting, insights and support at contract and divisional level.
Promote Axis CLC values and performance frameworks across the scheduling function.
Qualifications & Experience
Proven experience managing large, multi-contract scheduling or planning teams (Repairs & Maintenance or FM preferred).
Strong change management experience, particularly in process transformation or team centralisation.
Strong leadership and people development skills, with experience coaching managers and teams.
Knowledge of scheduling systems and tools (e.g., FLS, Dynamics).
Comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
