Mid-Weight or Senior Interior Designer
Location: Surrey
Type: Full Time, Permanent (37.5 hours per week)
Working Hours: 9:00am–5:30pm or 9:30am–6:00pm
Salay: £45,000
We are recruiting on behalf of an award-winning international interior design and architecture practice based in Surrey. This highly regarded studio is known for creating modern luxury interiors, combining exceptional detailing with innovative use of materials, colour, and texture. With a team of 30+ designers and architects, they work on a diverse portfolio of luxury residential projects across the UK and internationally.
The studio is seeking a talented Mid-Weight or Senior Interior Designer to join their growing team. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of high-end residential projects, work closely with clients, and contribute to a collaborative, creative studio culture.
What We’re Looking For
* UK resident or valid UK working visa
* Full, clean driving licence (essential for site visits)
* Able to work full time in the Surrey studio
* Strong academic background with a qualification in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
* Proven experience in luxury residential design, ideally on medium–large projects
* Confidence in FF&E, sourcing, and procurement processes
* Excellent understanding of the full project lifecycle, from concept through to completion
* Strong client-facing skills, including presentations, meetings, and ongoing correspondence
* Organised, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
* Positive team player who can also work independently and mentor junior designers when required
1. Key Skills
* Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp (EstiPC knowledge an advantage)
* Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills (InDesign & Photoshop) plus Microsoft Office
* Excellent space planning, conceptual design, and presentation abilities
* Strong technical drawing ability and attention to detail
* Confidence in hand sketching to communicate design ideas
* Knowledge of FF&E suppliers across furniture, fabrics, lighting, finishes, and bathroom products
* Creativity with colour, materials, and textures, underpinned by strong 3D and spatial awareness
* Experience leading projects and coordinating with contractors and suppliers
Responsibilities
* Deliver high-end residential projects in the UK and abroad from concept through to completion
* Produce detailed design packages, drawings, and specifications for tender and construction
* Source and specify FF&E, products, and finishes to the highest standards and within budget
* Prepare polished mood boards and client presentations
* Manage project schedules and liaise with contractors, suppliers, and clients
* Oversee on-site installation and styling
* Keep abreast of new trends, products, and materials, bringing fresh ideas to the team
