About us

PHSO is an independent national ombudsman service. We make final decisions on complaints that have not been resolved by the NHS in England, UK government departments and some other public organisations. We do this fairly and without taking sides. Our service is free.

About the role

We are continuously updating and improving our Learning Management System (LMS).

We want it to offer our internal users an ever-greater learner experience. Our LMS will also be utilised as part of the Complaints Standards pilot for NHS and Central government organisations. The L&D Team is collaborating with the Liaison Team to deliver this project.

The LMS Administrator will play a central role in designing, implementing, and testing new functionality in the LMS, whilst providing front-line support to our internal users.

You will provide comprehensive LMS administration support to the Learning and Development (L&D) team, ensuring all defined administrative processes and activities are carried out in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner. You will be encouraged to make proactive suggestions for change and improvements and provide professional and customer-focused support to the business.

• Provide excellent customer service and act as the first point of contact for queries from internal and external customers
• Manage staff changes using HR and L + D systems, updating employee records, liaising with managers and keeping colleagues informed of training activities
• Ensure accurate and timely record keeping of documents on SharePoint
• Develop and maintain administrative support for Learning Management Systems projects
• Provide support to the L + D team, ensuring systems and processes work effectively
• Provide comprehensive support to the L+D department including projects, initiatives and team away days
