We are currently seeking an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of major infrastructure and environmental projects across a long-term public sector framework.
This opportunity would suit a commercially driven QS with strong civil engineering experience and a proven background working within NEC contracts.
Key Responsibilities
Managing subcontractor procurement, valuations, and payments
Preparing applications for payment and commercial reporting
Cost forecasting and budget control
Managing compensation events and change control processes
Identifying commercial risks and opportunities
Supporting project delivery teams with commercial advice
Preparing and agreeing final accounts
Maintaining accurate records and contractual documentation
Requirements
Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or infrastructure projects
Strong NEC3 / NEC4 contract knowledge
Experience working on framework or public sector projects preferred
Ability to manage multiple workstreams independently
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Relevant Quantity Surveying qualification or equivalent experience
Desirable Experience
Water, environmental, highways, or heavy civils sector experience
Experience working alongside tier-one contractors or major frameworks
Chartered or working toward professional accreditation
