Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to providing high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to perfection and served promptly.
Duties
* Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
* Ensure food safety and hygiene practices are adhered to at all times.
* Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
* Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
* Monitor stock levels of ingredients and communicate any shortages to the kitchen manager.
* Participate in the training of new kitchen staff as needed.
Experience
* Previous experience in a kitchen environment is essential, with a focus on food preparation and cooking.
* Culinary experience is highly desirable, particularly in a restaurant setting.
* Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices is required.
* Experience serving food in a fast-paced environment is an advantage.
