We’re seeking a proactive, hands‑on engineer to take ownership of equipment performance, routine maintenance, and compliance across our modern manufacturing site. If you enjoy solving problems, improving systems, and working with cross‑functional teams, this is the role for you.
* Hours : Full‑time, Permanent, 39 hours per week
* Salary : £40,000
* Location : Bilston

Key Responsibilities :
* Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on machinery
* Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical faults
* Conduct regular PUWER and LOLER compliance checks
* Help develop a robust planned preventative maintenance (PPM) system
* Work with production and logistics teams to reduce downtime
* Keep clear and accurate maintenance records
* Coordinate with external engineers and contractors when required
* Support a safety‑first culture and mentor junior engineers
About You :
* Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or Engineer in a manufacturing setting
* Must hold a Level 3 Installation Electrician / Maintenance Electrician qualification or equivalent
* Strong understanding of mechanical and / or electrical systems
* Familiarity with health and safety legislation (PUWER, LOLER, DSEAR)
* Comfortable using digital systems to log maintenance data
* Good communicator with a methodical approach to problem‑solving
* Engineering qualifications preferred (training support available)
