Senior Piling EstimatorThis challenging and exciting opportunity requires an individual with a strong technical background and demonstrable experience in taking the responsibility for the production of piling, foundations and ground engineering estimates, tenders and bids.This hybrid position has some working from home, and for office working for part of the week needs to be within commutable distance to either Chelmsford, Hemel Hempstead, Peterborough or Harlow. The permanent basic salary is £60,000 - £75,000 plus full benefits package.Due to continued growth across the UK, and a peak in forward order tender workload demand, our client is now seeking to appoint a talented and motivated Senior Estimator possessing demonstrable experience within the piling, foundations and ground / geotechnical engineering sector.The role will be to provide accurate and efficient cost estimates for projects throughout the UK. Your main responsibilities will be to produce innovative and competitive tenders, bids, proposals and quotations associated with all aspects of a variation of contracts.
This will include co-ordinating with clients to produce a truly bespoke value engineered solution, ensuring that all tenders meet statutory legislation, regulations and client specifications.The PersonAble to identify the requirements of assigned projects to efficiently and effectively produce a wide range of tenders and estimates for all piling, foundations and ground engineering contractsAccurately prepare quotations considering all costs associated with the delivery of projectsProvide detailed hand over files to the Project Management Team to allow for the successful delivery of contractsCorrespond and negotiate with clients, suppliers, contractors and colleaguesEfficiently manage situations when workload presents conflicting demands on time and availability, demonstrating an ability to effectively prioritise and scheduleMonitor, progress and implement controls to ensure tasks are achieved to time, cost and qualityDevelop and select effective solutions to challenging and complex project requirements, taking into account risk and opportunityCommunicate facts, ideas and proposals to all stakeholders (internally and externally) in an effective and persuasive mannerDeliver efficient and effective customer service at all timesThe RoleThe primary responsibility is to develop accurate and timely estimates, and submit competitive bids and proposals for the companys clients across the Scandinavian regionAnalyse and interpret detailed client requirements, drawings and specificationsDetermine and price value-engineered alternatives to plans and specifications utilising all aspects of your expertise to submit bespoke bids and proposals to clientsAttend pre and post tender bid meetings with clients and their representativesWork under deadline pressures in an efficient, composed and calm mannerAssist the business sector as a whole to meet their financial targetsHelp to identify and develop potential new opportunities for workHelp to identify new suppliers or sub-contractors to improve safety, performance and profitOur ClientOur client is proud to be one of the worlds leading foundations engineering contractors and has earned an enviable reputation for best in class innovation and R&D technology, and through the successful delivery of many of the industrys most significant and recognised major projects.
