What Youll Be Doing Assist and deputise for the Nursery Manager, supporting the day-to-day running of the nursery. Support the implementation of the EYFS framework in line with company and Ofsted guidelines. Build positive relationships with parents, carers, and families through meetings, open days, and events. Support staff recruitment, onboarding, induction, and ongoing professional development. Assist in managing nursery budgets, invoicing, and fee collection. Maintain accurate records for children and staff in line with GDPR guidance. Support the delivery of high-quality childcare and promote the nurserys reputation within the local community. Oversee specific areas of the nursery as assigned by the Manager. Help implement health and safety policies, including fire drills and equipment/premises maintenance. Promote a positive team culture, encouraging care, compassion, and continuous learning. Safeguarding Responsibilities Support the Nursery Manager/DSL in all safeguarding matters. Promote a strong safeguarding culture and ensure staff know how to respond to concerns. Act as a first point of contact for safeguarding issues and escalate appropriately. Maintain detailed, secure records of concerns and referrals. Support staff training on child protection, online safety, and related policies. Build links with local safeguarding teams, social services, and relevant authorities. Qualifications & Experience Minimum Level 3 Early Years Qualification. Up-to-date Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) training. Valid Paediatric First Aid Certificate. Minimum 2 years experience in an early years environment, including leadership experience (e.g., Deputy Manager or Room Leader). Strong understanding of the EYFS framework.
