Location: Near Rugby
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off (Days & Nights)
Salary: £55,000
Our client, a leading FMCG manufacturer near Rugby, is seeking an experienced Engineering Team Leader to join their high-performance maintenance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer with leadership experience who is looking to step into a key role within a fast-paced, fully automated environment.
About the Role:
As Engineering Team Leader, you will oversee a small team of multi-skilled engineers, ensuring the safe and efficient running of all production and packaging equipment. You will support the Maintenance Manager in driving engineering standards, improving reliability, and promoting a proactive maintenance culture.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead, motivate, and develop a team of site engineers.
*
Oversee planned and reactive maintenance activities across the site.
*
Ensure engineering tasks are carried out safely, effectively, and in line with site standards.

Support continuous improvement, reliability projects, and root cause analysis.
*
Report engineering performance and issues to the Maintenance Manager.
*
Foster strong communication between production and engineering teams.
Requirements:
*
Apprentice-trained engineer (mechanical or electrical).
*
Proven supervisory or team-lead experience within an industrial environment.
*
Background in FMCG, food production, or automated distribution is essential.
*
Strong technical fault-finding skills and a hands-on approach.
*
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
