Must be willing to do labouring work along with slinger duties, ideally with shaft and tunnelling experience and a keen attitude to learn. Key Responsibilities Operate and carry out job-set tasks Ensure have been briefed and understand all relevant risk and method statements Use best/safest practices on all tasks carried out. Checks on any equipment that may be used Ensure a safe, tidy place of work Ensure the completion of work is on time Implement best practice procedures. Maximise use of own working time Ensure signed up for all permits and briefings before commencing any work Communication with site management Communicate with the site supervisor on any health and safety concerns Feedback to site management with near-miss/close-call reporting Ensure attendance at all site briefings, forums, and toolbox talks Essential A practical hands-on approach Experience in general civil works, including earthworks, drainage, ducting, and concreting CSCS card Good team worker Desireable H & S Awareness NRSWA CPCS Traffic Marshal
