* Quality Assurance: Lead plant quality assurance efforts, manage site audits, and ensure compliance with ISO standards.
* Laboratory Management: Oversee the site laboratory, including lab technicians and cost control, ensuring rigorous quality testing and compliance.
Essential Skills and Experience:
3+ years working in the QA environment with Team Leadership / Management responsibility – this role has one direct report.
* Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of SAP (or other ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel/Word.
* Industry Experience: Demonstrated experience in manufacturing quality processes within the chemical environment.
* Quality Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with ISO9001, HACCP, GMP, and Integrated Management Systems (IMS).
* Leadership Abilities: Proven experience in managing and motivating teams, with at least 3 years of people management experience.
* Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate effectively at all levels, including senior management.
* Initiative and Discipline: Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and solve problems proactively.
* Lean Manufacturing Awareness: Understanding of Lean Manufacturing techniques and methodologies, including TPM and PQ pillars.
* Educational Background: A degree in Chemistry / Experience working in a manufacturing environment utilising chemicals
Alternatively, extensive laboratory experience in a related field is acceptable.
