Junior/Assistant Estimator – Leading Groundworks/Civils Contractor
Join a leading contractor in Suffolk specializing in civil engineering, groundworks, and infrastructure works, supporting house-builders and a variety of other industries throughout East Anglia and the SouthEast of England. Base location: Bury St Edmunds.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with tender preparation and cost estimates
- Measuring quantities from drawings and specifications
- Obtaining supplier and subcontractor quotations
- Supporting pricing for groundworks, drainage and infrastructure works
- Maintaining estimating records and databases
- Liaising with suppliers, clients and internal teams
- Supporting timely tender submissions
Requirements
- Strong numerical and organisational skills
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Full UK driving licence
Salary
£30,000–£35,000 plus package, depending on experience.
